Your Wings were ready but our Hearts were not.

Our #ResilientAthena earned her wings June 30 at 1230 pm.. No more pain, no more sufferings, no more cancer!

Parents, please hug your kids tight every chance you get. Don’t let them feel scared, don’t let them feel alone, don’t let them feel not worth fighting for. You know them more than anyone in this world, advocate for them, fight for them, protect them, LOVE them hard!

ATHENA ROSE definitely showed us the true meaning of RESILIENCE. She fought til the end, she did things on her own terms, didn’t follow anybody’s rules, tried so hard to prove everybody wrong, yet she listened when I told her “I’m not ready to let you go yet!” But when she felt I was ready enough (even when no one was ever ready for this), she did it so quick — not even a countdown to possibly stop her.
